Privacy Policy

Your name or the name you go by, your email address, an optional handle, and anything you choose to write — posts, comments, room messages, accountability requests, and daily mood logs. If you pay dues, our payment processor handles your card; we never see or store card numbers.

• Daily mood logs are private. Only you can read them. They are not shown to other members.
• Posts, comments and room messages are visible to approved members of The Den. They are not public and are not indexed by search engines.
• Reports you file are visible to chapter leads and admins. Your name is not shown to the man you reported.
• Chapter applications are visible to admins reviewing them.

Posts, comments and room messages pass through an automated safety check before they land. It looks for two things: threats of violence toward another person, and language about suicide or self-harm.

Threats are blocked and logged for admin review. Self-harm language is allowed through — you are not punished for hurting — and it raises a quiet flag so a chapter lead can check on you, along with crisis resources shown to you on the spot. Screening is automated and imperfect; a human makes every decision that affects your membership.

Your account content stays while your membership is active. Ask us to close your account and we delete your profile, posts, comments and mood logs within 30 days, except records we must keep for safety or billing history. Safety flags tied to a blocked threat are retained.

• We don't sell or rent member information to anyone.
• We don't run advertising or ad tracking inside The Den.
• We don't show public follower counts or engagement metrics.
• We don't share your mood logs with other members, ever.

The Den is for adults. When you first arrive we ask you to confirm you are at least 18 years of age, and we store that confirmation as a small flag in your own browser so we don't have to ask again. It holds no name, no birthdate and no identifying information, and it never leaves your device.

We use a hosting and database provider to run the site, a payment processor for dues, and an AI provider for the safety screening described above. They process what they need to do that job and nothing else.

You can ask to see, correct, export or delete your information. Send the request from inside your account or to your chapter lead, and we will answer within 30 days.

We may disclose information when the law requires it, or when we believe someone is in immediate danger of serious harm. That's the only time we go outside these walls without asking you first.
